This year Cedar Wood Elementary has started a new program called the Natural Leaders, a family engagement program from the Washington Alliance for Better Schools (WABS). Natural Leaders is a group of multi-cultural parents and families who work to build strong connections among families and our school, and support the success of all students. It is a program that is led by parents and families in coordination with Cedar Wood staff to:
- Build relationships with families
- Listen to families’ ideas on how to help their children be successful in school
- Bring families and schools together to plan/implement the families’ ideas
