        My name is Mrs. Versdahl and I am the Art Teacher at Cedar Wood Elementary. 

    These are my goals when working with students in Art Class: 

    *Help and encourage students to become Mindful Artists.

    *Show students that MISTAKES ARE OK, and an important part of the learning process.

    *Create a classroom environment/experience where students can have fun while being creative.

    Our projects throughout the school year will focus on THE ELEMENTS OF ART and THE PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN using such art mediums as drawing, various forms of painting, printmaking, collage, and clay.

    I have worked in education for 17 years, which has included teaching everything from Preschool all the way up to 5th grade.  I have a monthly Art Class Newsletter that is posted here, around the beginning of each month, letting you know what we are up to in the art room, and any other important information or art opportunities.
