    My name is Mrs. Versdahl and I am the Art Teacher at Cedar Wood Elementary.

    My Wish for Cedar Wood students in this Creative Space: 

                • That students grow into mindful, thoughtful artists
                • That students see mistakes as a natural and valuable part of learning
                • That students feel safe, supported, and able to have fun and be creative

    Throughout the school year, we will explore the Elements of Art and Principles of Design through such art mediums as drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, fiber arts, sculpture, and clay.

    This is my 19th year of working in education, teaching everything from preschool to 5th grade, and my 4th year teaching Art at Cedar Wood Elementary.  Teaching Art has always been a dream of mine, and I feel truly lucky to do this in the school community my own two children once attended.

    Each month, I will post & send out an Art Class Newsletter, sharing what we are working on in the art room, and any other important updates or art opportunities. Be sure to check it out!
