May 2, 2025: Anna Marie Jackson Laurence selected to fill Everett Public Schools Board of Directors Position 3
The Everett Public Schools Board of Directors has selected Anna Marie Jackson Laurence to fill the Director Position 3. The school board made their decision during a special meeting on May 1, 2025.

April 29, 2025: Everett High NJROTC earns top honors for performance, growth
Everett High School’s Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) has received two significant honors from the U.S. Navy’s Area 23 Command. The unit was awarded the Bravo Zulu designation for its performance during the Annual Military Inspection (AMI) and named the Most Improved Unit for Area 23, placing it in contention for the same honor at the national level. Additionally, the unit has been notified that they were selected as a Distinguished Unit, which is the top honor for NJROTC units.

April 24, 2025: Everett High School PTA Auction surpasses $1 million raised since 2013, breaking new records
The Everett High School PTA Auction reached a historic milestone this past weekend, surpassing $1 million in total funds raised since its inception in 2013. This year’s event raised a record-breaking $195,000 in support of Everett High School’s student programs, bringing the total funds raised over the past 12 years to an impressive milestone.

April 21, 2025: Global victory for H.M. Jackson High robotics Team 2910 Jack in the Bot
Team 2910 “Jack in the Bot” from Henry M. Jackson High School has won the 2025 FIRST Robotics World Championship, held in Houston, Texas. This global competition brought together 600 of the top high school robotics teams from 30 countries—and Jack in the Bot rose to the top.

Jackson High’s FRC Team 2910: Jack in the Bot, dove headfirst into victory at the Pacific Northwest District Championship, resurfacing as the captain of the winning alliance after an electrifying weekend of competition in Cheney with the 50 best teams in the District.

Henry M. Jackson High School freshman Remi Kalatsky has been awarded the grand prize in the 2025 Black and White Photography Contest hosted by the Schack Art Center as part of its annual Arts Education in Action Exhibition.

March 28, 2025: Future Leaders Academy recognized by the Washington Senate for advancing civic health
Nearly 50 high school seniors from Henry M. Jackson High School in Everett traveled to the Washington State Capitol on Thursday, March 27, as part of the inaugural cohort of the Future Leaders Academy, a flagship program of the nonprofit Building Bridges Project, launched in partnership with the Everett School District and Jackson High School.

The Henry M. Jackson High School Robotics Team – FRC Team 2910: Jack in the Bot – plunged into another exciting competition at the PNW District Auburn Event this weekend, marking their second win of the 2025 season.

March 10, 2025: 10th-grader earns prestigious Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award
H.M. Jackson High School 10th grader Evie Reid has earned the Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award for dedicating over 150 hours to the Mill Creek Food Bank, operated by Hope Creek Charitable Foundation. Her commitment to fighting food insecurity and her leadership serve as an inspiration to her peers and the community.

Mill Creek, WA– H.M. Jackson High School’s Kyle Peacocke has been named the recipient of the 2023-24 National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) National Coaches Award for Fastpitch Softball. This prestigious honor recognizes Peacocke’s exceptional coaching achievements and his contributions to high school athletics. Being named the nation’s top fastpitch softball coach by the NFHS places Peacocke at the pinnacle of his profession.

Dec. 13, 2024: Everett Public Schools eighth graders explore IT and STEM careers
Last month, sixty eighth-grade students participated in a field trip focused on Information Technology (IT) and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) careers. Organized by the Everett Public Schools (EPS) Career and Technical Education (CTE) team, in collaboration with Career Connect NW, Economic Alliance Snohomish STEM, and Everett Community College (EvCC), the event connected students with professionals and educators in these fields.

Oct. 10, 2024: Henry M. Jackson High School robotics team wins Chezy Champs
Henry M. Jackson High School’s robotics team, Team 2910: Jack in the Bot, claimed its first-ever victory at the Chezy Champs competition, held September 27-29, 2024, in San Jose, California. This prestigious win marks the first time a team has won both Chezy Champs and the Indiana Robotics Invitational (IRI) in the same year.

The College Board announced that Henry M. Jackson High School has been named to the 2024 Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) School Honor Roll, earning a Silver distinction.

Sept. 25, 2024: Jackson High students named 2025 National Merit semifinalists
Six seniors from Henry M. Jackson High School have been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists: Sudhir Chebiyyam, Dhruv Deshpande, Shreya Karthik, Nidhi Krishna, Whittaker Perrin, and Advait Roopesh. They join over 16,000 students nationwide in receiving this esteemed recognition.

Sept. 17, 2024: Whittier Elementary gets a vibrant facelift thanks to volunteers
Over 80 dedicated volunteers from seven Safran sites across Washington and California transformed Whittier Elementary School’s playground into a colorful and inspiring environment last Friday, September 13. Safran employees and their families spent the day enhancing the school’s campus with a burst of creativity and community spirit.
