Hello Cedar Wood Families,

My name is Virginia DeLisle, and I am absolutely thrilled to welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year! This marks my nineteenth year teaching at Cedar Wood, and I am honored to be guiding this year’s group of Highly Capable 5th graders.

I bring 35 years of teaching experience to the classroom, having worked with students in 1st through 8th grades across special education, general education, and highly capable programs. I am a proud graduate of Western Washington University, hold a master's degree in education, and am a Nationally Board Certified teacher.

My connection to Everett Public Schools is deeply personal. My mother was a teacher in this district for 25 years, and I am a proud graduate, as are my two sons. I have seen firsthand how the education here builds a foundation for success, as my youngest son is now entering his junior year of college.

When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time by the ocean, gathering with family and friends, cheering on the Seahawks, and snuggling up with my cats and a good book.

I am so looking forward to a fantastic year of learning, challenge, and growth with your students.
