Courses
Courses Included:
- Mechatronics (full year)
- Mechatronics is designed as an introduction to basic robotic design, operation, and programming.
- Students will gain conceptual, technical and practical knowledge of robotic applications.
- Students will design their own 4 wheel remote operated rover, 6 wheel autonomous rover, and aerial quad-copter.
- Students will develop their 21st century skills during the course, including programming, typing (40 wpm), engineering practices, communication skills, spreadsheets, CAD design, and 3D printing skills.
- Automotive Technology 1 (sem 1)
- This course provides students the opportunity to understand major parts and systems of automobiles.
- Students will develop foundational automotive skills as they are introduced to shop safety, proper use of tools, problemsolving and critical thinking to conduct inspections, and skills to provide maintenance to a wide variety of vehicles.
- Automotive Technology 2 (sem 2)
- The Automotive Technology Program prepares students for the highly technical and rewarding careers within the automotive field.
- As an ASE/NATEF certified program, this concentration features state-of-the-art equipment used in the automotive industry, training from industry experts, and hands-on experience with high performance vehicles equipped with the latest technologies.
- Advanced students in the program have opportunities to earn nationally recognized ASE certifications, as well as obtain paid internships at local dealerships.
